School Council Elections!
The children have been voting for their School Council Class Representatives!
Two per class are elected. Any child can stand for election. Prior to voting they have an opportunity to pitch to their classmates.
We run the voting in the same way adults vote for MPs, which we believe is a great experience for the children. Voting booths, ballot papers and a ballot box!
We are keen for the children to learn about democracy and to know that they have a very important voice in school, which will be listened to.
