Year 3 – In Harmony
Elephants Upper Strings have been practising bowing different rhythms and have started using left hand fingers to produce even more notes!
The cellos have been practicing one octave Scales with lots of reminders of our bow hold. We’ve been using harmonics for longer bows, and playing the Bond Theme to help with this. We’ve also been practicing having the hands in the correct position!
This term, the Tigers upper strings have been working on playing in time as an ensemble, consolidating their bow holds and bow movements, and they have also started to play tunes using their left-hand fingers! In Paganini, which they play in this clip, they have to produce the note B by putting down their first finger on the A string.
