The Children’s Society have produced some excellent Rise Mental Health wellbeing resources, including content on Zones of Regulation, which can be found on their website.
Mrs McCarthy and the Polar Bears class have created a Zones of Regulation song.
To set the scene, the 5 children start with a sad face. As their friend ‘takes them by the hand’ (as per the song), they become happy!
Here are the words:
5 little friends all standing feeling blue.
No one to play with and nothing to do.
Then along came X who was kind and not mean.
Who took their friend by the hand to make them feel green.
