Happy Healthy Me
This club provides targeted support to children identified by school who may be struggling to engage in class, display a change in behaviour and/or attitude, or have confided in school staff about a particular problem, or where parents have asked the school for help. By working with Hat-Trick we will increase the offer of activities to these children, enabling their needs to be met at the earliest stages and reducing the number of children requiring specialist help by the school counsellor.
The weekly sessions use sport and activities to increase confidence and self-esteem and cover topics such as emotional conflict, anxiety and depression, through innovative and interactive fun activities. This gives the children opportunities to experience a new activity and build positive trusting relationships with workers, where they feel safe to have conversations about their mental health.
